Inside the studio: making the Curve sofa

Shaping the frame
Each curved rail is laminated from thin strips of beech, pressed in a mould and left to cure. The result is a frame that’s both light and remarkably strong.
Hand-finished, always
Upholstery is cut, fitted and hand-stitched by one maker from start to finish, so every Curve carries the mark of the person who built it.
The Curve started as a question: could a sofa feel soft and architectural at once? Answering it took eleven prototypes and the better part of a year in the studio.
